F. Remove the filter pins (1) in order to separate the ProClarity fil-
ter and canister. Once the filter pins are removed, rotate the filter
cartridge handle counterclockwise to unthread from the filter can-
ister. You can clean the filter (1) and canister (3) , but you must
replace the ProClarity Depth Filter (2) every 3 to 4 months.
G. Rinse debris from filter pleats using a garden hose and high-
pressure nozzle. Start at the top and work downward towards
handle. Repeat until all pleats are clean. Rinse out any debris
from the canister. Reassemble the ProClarity Filter. Remember
to replace the depth filter with a new one. Once the filter is
assembled, secure it with the filter pins (1).
H
H. Submerge both filter cartridges in spa. Tilt threaded end
upward to remove trapped air bubbles, then keep cartridges
submerged to prevent air entrapment during installation.
I. Place each cartridge back into skimmer well, then rotated each
cartridge handle clockwise to thread back into wall fitting. N.B.:
do not overtighten!
Install clean debris bag back onto the filter cover clips as shown
(you can flip the filter skimmer and use the back side to extend
usage).
Reinstall the skimmer shield over the filters. Then turn power to
spa back on.

Draining and Refilling

About every 3 months, you will want to replace the water in the
spa. Frequency of water replacement depends on frequency of
use, care taken in maintaining water quality, etc.
You will know it is time for a change when you cannot control
sudsing and/or you can no longer see the normal sparkle to the
water, even though the key water balance measurements are all
within the proper parameters.
WARNING! Turn off power to spa before draining it. Do not
turn the power back on until your spa has been refilled.
If it is extremely cold, and the spa is outdoors, freezing could occur
in the lines or the equipment (see the section on "Winterizing"). If
instead it is very warm, do not leave the spa exposed to direct sun-
light.
To drain your spa, perform the following steps:
1. Turn off power to spa at breaker.
Standard Drain
2.
3.
2. Locate the drain valve located in the front left corner on the
black plastic pan. Hold the larger (rear) drain valve body to pre-
vent it from turning, then loosen and remove the front cap to
expose the underlying male hose threads.
3. Attach a garden hose to the exposed threads.
4. Gently rotate the larger (rear) valve body 1/3 turn counter-
clockwise to unlock the drain valve.
5. Pull the larger (rear) body outward as shown to open drain.

6. After the spa drains, perform steps 2-5 in reverse order to close
the drain prior to refilling the spa.
After refilling, turn on power to the spa and follow the steps
listed under "Spa Fill Up Procedures". Always fill your spa through
both filter buckets.
Quick Drain™
Note: To avoid any injuries, more than one individual must per-
form these steps.
2. Locate the door's retractable push button on the top of the
front panel.
3. Press the retractable push button to release the panel door
from the spa frame.
4. Slowly and gently tilt the panel forward and then lift up to
remove. This will expose the equipment bay for easy access to the
components. Place the panel in a safe location to prevent from
damaging it.
5. Locate the QuickDrain valve.
6. Unscrew drain valve cap. Place the cap aside.
7. Screw in the adapter with hose that was included in the equip-
ment bay; attach it to the QuickDrain.. Make sure to direct the
hose to an area where the water will drain properly.
8. Open the drain slice valve by sliding the handle to the side and
pulling up.
Note: If the QuickDrain is slow, remove the circulation pump filter
to ease the flow.
9. After the hot tub has drained close the slice valve by pushing
it downward and sliding the handle to the side. Remove the
adapter and reinstall the QuickDrain cap before refilling hot tub.
To reinstall the panel just follow the steps above in reverse order.
After refilling, turn on power to the spa and follow the steps
listed under "Spa Fill Up Procedures". Always fill your spa through
both filter buckets.
