I: FINAL FITTING OF THE HOTGRIPS:
1. Use the Superglue provided. It has been proven for the application and we cannot
guarantee the suitability of an alternative. Under no circumstances should the grip be
fitted to the handlebar without glue!
2. WARNING: The Superglue will bond skin and eyes in seconds. Keep out of reach of
children.
• It is very important to fit the grips immediately and without delay because the
superglue provided will bond the hotgrips to the bars and throttle tube very quickly.
• Do not let the glue drip onto the paintwork. Shield paintwork appropriately.
3. Clutch (left) HotGrip:
• Apply the glue into the HotGrip and allow it to run down the internal faces of the
HotGrip so that as much of the internal faces are covered with glue as possible.
• Push the grips into place ensuring that the HotGrips are positioned correctly so it
does not foul the clutch operation.
4. Throttle (right) HotGrip:
• Apply the glue into the HotGrip and allow it to run down the internal faces of the
HotGrip so that as much of the internal faces are covered with glue.
• If the grips are a very tight fit over the throttle slider, then is it advisable to apply
glue onto the actual plastic throttle slider on the innermost flange and less along
the length of the throttle slider. This is to ensure that the grip and glue does not set
too early and leaving the grip stuck halfway up the throttle slider.
• Push the grips into place ensuring that the HotGrips are positioned correctly so it
does not foul the throttle operation.
5. Be sure to act immediately to wipe away any excess glue with a dry cloth.
6. Allow the glue to dry for at least 24 hours before using. Ensure that the grips
are firmly fixed in place before use. Do not use if the grips move and seek advice
immediately.
J: USAGE GUIDELINES:
Once fitted, the Oxford HotGrips EVO are designed for keeping gloved hands at
a comfortably warm temperature. The NEW EVO grips are individually thermistor
controlled allowing the user to pick a set temperature between 45-35 degrees. Whether
the chosen setting is 35, 37.5, 40, 42.5, 45 degrees the controller will apply MAX power
until this temperature is individually measured in both the clutch grip and throttle grip.
As each grip is constantly measured independently, the intelligent controller can apply
more power to one to maintain the set temperature over both grips. This removes the
need to constantly adjust the heat settings.
If the grips are too hot please ensure the heat controller is turned down or even switch it
OFF if necessary.
Switch Operations:
The heat controller has 2 raised buttons to make it easier to locate and feel the buttons
when riding, especially in the dark.

The switch will turn onto the 45-degree setting (High) – enabling full power until 45
degrees have been recorded by the thermistor within both the grips.
From start-up any heat setting selected will supply full power to the grips until this set
button once.
