Press the
key to interrupt the automatic bleed cycle.
When powered, the boiler performs a sequence of checks, and a series of
numbers and letters will appear on the display.
If the outcome of the checks is positive, the boiler will be ready to operate
about 4 seconds after the end of the cycle.
If the outcome is negative, the boiler cannot operate and you will see a
flashing "0" on the display.
In this case, call the Technical Assistance Service.
The boiler switches back on in the status it held before switch-off: if
it was in winter mode when it was switched off, it will restart in winter
mode; if it was OFF, the middle part of the display will contain two
segments (Fig.3).
Press the
key to activate the operation.
Select the type of operation required by pressing the
lection" key, aligning the
symbol with one of the following two positions:
WINTER
(fig.4a)
SUMMER
(fig.4b)
WINTER MOdE
With the indicator in this position, the boiler produces hot water for heat-
ing. If connected to an external storage tank, it provides the tank with
water for the preparation of hot domestic water.
SUMMER mode (only with an external storage tank connected)
With the indicator in this position, the boiler provides the storage tank with
water at a fixed temperature for the preparation of hot domestic water.
Adjustment of the heating water temperature
By turning the selector A (Fig.5) after positioning the function selector on
"winter mode"
, you can adjust the temperature of the heating water.
Turn clockwise to increase the temperature, or anticlockwise to reduce it.
The segments of the graphic bar will gradually light up (every 5°C) as the
temperature increases.
The selected temperature value will be shown on the display.
Adjusting the heating water temperature with an external probe con-
nected
When an external probe is installed, the delivery temperature is automati-
cally selected by the system, which quickly adjusts the ambient temperature
according to variations in the outside temperature.
Only the middle segment of the bar lights up (Fig.6).
If you want to alter the temperature value (increasing or reducing the value
automatically calculated by the electronic card), use the heating water
temperature selector: turn it clockwise to increase the temperature, or
anticlockwise to reduce it.
The segments of the graphic bar will light up, and the temperature correction
range is between -5 and +5 comfort levels (Fig.6).
When choosing the comfort level, the display shows the required level (in
the digits area) and the corresponding segment (on the graphic bar) (Fig.7).
Adjusting the hot domestic water temperature
MOdE A (heating only) - adjustment not applicable
MOdE b (only heating + external storage tank with thermostat) - in this case,
every time the storage tank thermostat makes a heat request, the boiler
supplies hot water for the preparation of the domestic water.
During this operation, the
MOdE c (only heating + external storage tank with probe) - to adjust
the temperature of the domestic water held in the storage tank, turn the
temperature selector b (Fig.8): Turn clockwise to increase the temperature,
or anticlockwise to reduce it.
The segments of the graphic bar will gradually light up (every 3°C) as the
temperature increases.
After making the selection, the modification will be memorised in about 4
seconds and the display will again show the delivery temperature measured
by the primary probe.
Boiler start-up
Set the ambient thermostat at the required temperature (about 20°C). If
there is a heat request, the boiler will start up and the display will show
the
icon (Fig.9). The boiler will operate until the adjusted temperature
is reached, and will then go into standby.
If faults arise during ignition or operation, the boiler will make a safety stop.
The flame symbol will disappear from the display,
and
message will be shown (Fig.10).
For the description and reset of faults, refer to the "Faults" chapter.
"function se-
icon will flash on the display.
