Setting the thermoregulation
checking the external probe connection
After connecting the external probe to the boiler, you can use the INFO
function to check that the connection has been automatically recognised
by the adjustment card. It is normal for the values measured by the
probe to be higher than those of a reference probe, immediately follow-
ing installation.
THERMOREGULATION is activated and optimised by setting the fol-
lowing parameters:
PARAMETER
TYPE OF BUILDING
MAXIMUM HEATING SET-POINT
MINIMUM HEATING SET-POINT
ACTIVATION OF THERMOREGULATION FUNCTION
CLIMATIC COMPENSATION CURVE
TYPE OF HEAT REQUEST
For how to access the programming function, refer to the "Programming
the parameters" chapter.
These operations must only be carried out from the boiler
control panel.
PARAMETER 03 - Type of building
The adjustment system for processing the delivery temperature does not
use the external temperature directly, but takes into account the thermal
insulation of the building: in well-insulated buildings, external temperature
variations have less effect on the ambient temperature compared with
poorly insulated buildings. The level of thermal insulation of the building
is set via parameter 3, in compliance with the enclosed diagram.

PARAMETERS 21 and 22 - Maximum and minimum delivery temperature
There are two parameters that allow you to limit the delivery tempera-
ture produced automatically by the THERMOREGULATION function.
PARAMETER 21 determines the MAXIMUM DELIVERY TEMPERATURE
(MAXIMUM HEATING SET-POINT) and PARAMETER 22 determines the
MINIMUM DELIVERY TEMPERATURE (MINIMUM HEATING SET-POINT).
PARAMETER 44 - Thermoregulation function activation
The connection of the external temperature probe, plus the value of
PARAMETER 44, allows the following operation modes:
EXTERNAL PROBE CONNECTED and PARAMETER 44 = 0 (OFF) - in this
case, the THERMOREGULATION from the external probe is disabled, even
though the external probe is connected. Thermoregulation from the ambient
probe is, however, enabled (see "Thermoregulation from ambient probe").
The INFO function allows you to see the value of the external probe
however. Symbols associated with the THERMOREGULATION function
are not visualised.
EXTERNAL PROBE CONNECTED and PARAMETER 44 = 1 (ON) - in this
case, the THERMOREGULATION from the external probe is enabled. The
INFO function allows you to see the value of the external probe, and the
symbols associated with the THERMOREGULATION function are visualised.
Without the connection of the external probe, it is not possible to
enable the THERMOREGULATION. In this case, PARAMETER 44
is ignored and its function is ineffective.
PARAMETER 45 - choice of the climatic compensation curve
The compensation curve for heating maintains a theoretical temperature of
20°C indoors, when the external temperature is between +20°C and -20°C.
The choice of the curve depends on the minimum external temperature
envisaged (and therefore on the geographical location), and on the de-
livery temperature envisaged (and therefore on the type of system). It is
carefully calculated by the installer on the basis of the following formula:
envisaged delivery temp. -20
P. 45 = 10 x
20- min. envisaged external temp.
If the calculation produces an intermediate value between two curves, you
are advised to choose the compensation curve nearest the value obtained.
Example: if the value obtained from the calculation is 8, this is between
curve 7.5 and curve 10. Choose the nearest curve, i.e. 7.5.
