d) Pole mounting
• The solar module can be installed using a pole mount (bracket holder and clamping
jaw) (fig. 3).
• Loosen the ball joint screw connection of the solar module and screw on the
bracket holder.
• Fully guide the bracket through the openings in the bracket holder. When in vertical
position, the bracket is unlocked and can be inserted/removed. When not in vertical
position, the bracket is locked.
• Guide the end of the threaded rod (of the bracket) through the borehole in the
clamping jaw. Screw the wing nut onto the thread.
• Then attach the pole mount including solar module to, for example, a pole (of approx.
≤ 95 mm in thickness) and turn the wing nut clockwise to tighten. Make sure to fully
screw the wing nut onto the thread.
• Place the safety cap onto the end of the threaded rod in order to prevent injuries.

Fig. 3
Operation
a) Connecting the cables
• Connect the plug of each spotlight to a free socket on the bottom of the solar module.
• Important! Make sure to insert the plugs as far as they go into the sockets in order
to fully facilitate the watertight function.
b) Adjusting the direction
• The direction/angle can be adjusted by loosening the ball joint screw connection
and adjusting the solar module/spotlight to the desired direction. Tighten the ball
joint screw connection again afterwards.
c) Switching on/off
In order to charge the rechargeable batteries, set the on/off switch on the
rear side of the solar module to "ON" position. Charge the rechargeable
batteries for approx. 12 hours when using the product for the first time.
• Set the on/off switch to "ON" position. The spotlights will turn on at nightfall.
During winter months the illumination period is shorter.
• To switch off the device, set the on/off switch to "OFF" position.
Replacing the rechargeable batteries
The rechargeable batteries must be replaced if the illumination period at night is short
despite sufficient charging time.
Replace the rechargeable batteries with batteries of equivalent type (see "Technical
data").
• Loosen the 4 screws on the rear side of the solar module and remove the cover.
• Carefully remove the old rechargeable batteries from the rechargeable battery
cavities and insert new rechargeable batteries, thereby observing the correct
polarity (refer to the polarity markings in the rechargeable battery cavities).
• Replace the cover and close the housing. Use only little force when tightening the
screws.

Troubleshooting
a) Spotlights do not turn on at nightfall
• Have you switched on the light?
• An external light source (e.g. street lamp) simulates daylight at the solar module and
prevents the spotlights from turning on. Install the solar module at a more suitable
location.
b) At nightfall the spotlights do not turn on or turn on only briefly
• Have the rechargeable batteries been installed correctly?
• Rechargeable battery power not sufficient. Replace the rechargeable batteries.

Maintenance and cleaning

Do not use any aggressive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other
chemical solutions as they can cause damage to the housing and
malfunctioning.
• Switch off the product and remove the rechargeable batteries before cleaning.
• Never submerge the product in water.
• Have maintenance and repairs done by qualified experts or repair shops only.
There are no components located inside the product you need to maintain. Never
dismantle the product.
• To clean the product, a dry, soft and clean cloth is sufficient. Do not apply too much
pressure to the housing as this may cause scratch marks.
• Make sure not to scratch the solar panel.
• Use a longhaired, soft and clean brush and a vacuum cleaner to easily remove dust.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
household waste.
At the end of its service life, dispose of the product in accordance with
applicable regulatory guidelines.
Remove any inserted (rechargeable) batteries and dispose of them
separately from the product.
b) Rechargeable batteries
As the end user, you are legally bound to return all used rechargeable batteries;
disposing of used batteries with household waste is prohibited.
Rechargeable batteries containing hazardous substances are marked with
the following symbol, which indicates that disposal with household waste
is prohibited. The designations for the heavy metals involved are:
Cd=cadmium, Hg=mercury, Pb=lead (the label is located on the
rechargeable batteries, i.e. under the trash can symbol depicted on the
left).
You can dispose of your used rechargeable batteries free of charge
at collection points in your community, at our stores and everywhere
batteries are sold!
You thus fulfil your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the
environment.
