Operating with 3 float switches plus one float
switch for alarm
Float switch G1 starts up the pump.
Float switch G2, with a higher starting-up level, starts
up the second pump.
GB
Float switch GMIN, with a lower intervention level
stops both pumps (the arrest of the second pump is
delayed by a few seconds).
Float switch GMAX, with a higher intervention level than
float switch G2, acts as a high-level alarm and starts
up both pumps if float switches G1 and G2 are faulty.
3 Pumps
Operating with 3 float switches plus one float
switch for alarm
Float switches G1, G2 and G3 to start and stop
pumps.
Float switch GMAX for alarm.
Float switch G1, with a lower starting-up level, starts
up the first pump.
Float switch G2, with a higher starting-up level, starts
up the second pump.
Float switch G3, with a higher starting-up level, starts
up the third pump.
If float switch G1 is faulty, float switch G2 starts up
first and second pump (the starting-up of the second
pump is delayed by a few seconds).
If float switch G2 is faulty, float switch G3 starts up
second and third pump (the starting-up of the third
pump is delayed by a few seconds).
Float switch G4, with a higher intervention level than
float switch G3, acts as a high-level alarm and starts
up all pumps if float switches G1, G2 and G3 are faulty.
Operating with 4 float switches plus one float
switch for alarm
Float switches G1, G2 and G3 to start pumps.
Float switch GMIN to stop pumps.
Float switch GMIN, with a lower intervention level
stops all pumps (the stop of the second and third
pump is delayed by a few seconds).
Float switch GMAX, with a higher intervention level
than float switch G3, acts as a high-level alarm and
starts up both pumps if float switches G1, G2 and G3
are faulty.
Activation of the function.
The control panel is set by the manufacturer for the
followings functioning.
-1 pump: 1 float switch ON-OFF;
-2 pumps: 2 float switches ON-OFF;
-3 pumps: 3 float switches ON-OFF;
This option can be set in the advanced parameter
menu (paragrafo 7.3.2.3).

7.6. Pressure mode operation
Each phase of the set operation is controlled by
MPS 3000 electronic card that provides the following
functions:
• pumps starting in a cascade sequence according
to water demand (1 pump excluded).
• changeover of pump starting sequence (1 pump
excluded).
• pumps stop when there no water in the suction.
• delay on pump 2/3 starting (1,5 sec.) after a power
cut out (1 pump excluded).
• avoid pump starting in case of water hammering.
• block the pumps when starts and stops are too
frequent .
7.6.1. Operating with level probes
(pressure mode)
Level probes are used when it is not possible to install
flow switch (for example: to protect a submersible
pump in a deep well against dry running).
Operating with 2 level probes
The pump stops when water no longer touches the
probe SLMIN and starts again when water reaches the
probe SLMAX.
Operating with timed level probe
The pumps stop when water no longer touches the
probe SLMIN. When water level reaches probe SLMIN
again, a timer (from 0 to 15 min) set on UP 13 – NO-
WATER DELAY to delay the pumps starting.
The delay time for starting of the pump must be
determined on the basis of the time required for
infiltration of the water into the well and reestablishing
of the dynamic level.
A delay time which is too short will result in an
excessive number of starts of the pump.
7.6.2. Operation with pressure sensor
(pressure mode)
The first pump starts when the pressure drops below
the value set at UP15- START PRESSURE parameter
and shuts off when the pressure exceeds the value set
at parameter UP16- STOP PRESSURE for at least 2s.
For multipump booster sets, when the first pump is
running and the pressure drops for at least 2s below
the value set at UP15-PRESSURE START parameter,
the next pump will start automatically.
When the system pressure exceeds the value set at
parameter UP16- STOP PRESSURE for at least 2s,
the previous pump will automatically stop.
If the pressure drops below the value set iat UP17-
MINIMUM ALARM PRESSURE parameter, the panel
will stop the pumps and "MINIMUM PRESSURE"
alarm will be displayed.
7.7. Switch off of the pump
ON
The appliance must be switch off every time
there are faults.
The product is designed for a continuous duty, the
switch off is performed by disconnecting the power
supply by means the expected disconnecting devices.
(paragraph 6.5).
