Engine starts and runs, but
chain is not rotating.

Chain brake engaged.
Chain tension too tight.
The lubricant pump, bar, or
chain may be damaged.

Activate chain brake.
Check chain tension for overtight condition. Make
sure that the chain tension is correctly adjusted
as specified in these instructions.
Check guide bar and chain assembly.
Inspect guide bar and chain for damage. Inspect
the drive sprocket for wear or damage when
replacing the chain. Make sure that the chain
tension is correctly adjusted as specified in these
instructions.
