Messages 8 through 15 are for the text commu-
nications (Alarms, Warnings, etc.) that the SMS
Dialler Facility will send to the Contact Telephone
numbers, when the associated Event occurs.
These Messages can be written in the same way
as you usually write SMS Texts on your Cellphone.
NOTE - DO NOT use characters other than
those shown in Figure 10.
NC2/VOX can record 8 Alarm messages. Four
messages of 15 seconds (Messages 1, 2, 3 and
4), and four of 7 seconds (Messages 5, 6, 7 and
8). The 8 configurations (corresponding to the 8
messages) can be viewed on the four LEDs [22]
at 1 second intervals.

Recording/Playing Messages

Using the SERV jumper [16] put the GS3050-A
in Service mode (as per maintenance). Once
in Service mode, it will be possible to select,
record and play messages.

Selecting a Message

Hold down the Play [30] and Record [31]
buttons.
Release the buttons when the LEDs show the
required configuration (refer to the Message
Configuration Table).

Recording a Message

For the best results, stand at about 20 cm
from the microphone [29].
Press the Record button [31], and record the
message (the 4 Green LEDs will blink to signal
the elapsing message time).
Press the Record button [31] to stop the re-
cording phase before timeout.
Recording will stop automatically when the
message time expires.

Playback

Press Play [30]—the 4 Green LEDs will blink
for the duration of the message.
Playback can be stopped by pressing the Play
button [30] again.
