Solution
Ask your Biomed to reset the model number to the correct value.
Verify appropriate perfusion of sensor site.
Drape the sensor site to shield it from the light source.
Replace the probe and retest.
Solution
Assess patient condition.
The unit is designed to work with Nellcor OxiMax sensors only.
Check the placement of the sensor.
Loosen sensor.
Move sensor to the other arm.
Choose another sensor site.

NOTE: Address each condition according to facility protocol
Check for other blood alteration causes, such as cardiac massage, external noise,
vein pulsations, and convulsions.
Check the placement of the sensor.
This pulse oximeter cannot detect hemoglobin, such as carbon-monoxy hemoglobin
or methemoglobin. Therefore, faulty readings can result when measuring carbon-
monoxide intoxicated patients or patients who are heavy smokers. Consult Blood
Gas.
Readings can be influenced by the presence of reagent chromocytes, such as
indocyanine-green and methylene-blue (when heavily concentrated in the artery).
Check the patient's condition.
