5.2. CLEANING PROCEDURES
5.2.1 RINSING TECHNIQUE
CAUTION
The rinsing technique is to be carried out with additives
after each inhalation!
1.
Make sure that the unit has cooled (approx. 10 minutes)
and the POWER switch ON / OFF has been turned to
the "0" position. Unplug the power cord from the
outlet.

Remove the cover from the body of the Steam inhaler.
Remove the cap to the water heater tank (Figure 13).

Carefully remove the inhalants- / condensate tank from
the unit (Figure 14).

Rinse inhalants- / condensate tank with hot tap water.
5.
Empty any remaining water from the water heater
tank.
6.
Dry with clean towels or allow to completely air dry.
7.
Reassemble the Steam Inhaler and store in a cool,
dry place.
5.2.2 CLEANING TECHNIQUE
CAUTION
The cleaning technique is to be performed once weekly
and before first use!
1.
Follow steps 1-5 under "Rinsing Technique (5.2.1)".
2.
Wash the inhalants- / condensate tank, cover, safety cap
of the steam tank, mask connection and inhalation masks
in warm water and a mild detergent. Rinse the
components thoroughly and allow to dry completely.
5.3
CLEANING OF THE STEAM JET
The steam jet can be blocked through limy water or
inhalants.
To clean the steam jet, remove the cover of the
NEBUSTEAM
INHALER. Remove the steam jet by
®
rotating clockwise (Figure 15) and removing the suction
tube from the mounting. Use the cleaning wire for cleaning
of the device (Figure 16 / ❶). The jet and the suction
the steam jet. The cleaning wire is attached to the base
tube are reattached in reverse order, the jet engages in
the mounting. Reattach the cleaning wire to the base of
the device.

5.4
DEVICE SURFACE
•
In the event of contamination, but at least once a
week, the entire surface of the device should be
cleaned with a moist cloth (never use a wet cloth) and
should then be disinfected with one of the surface
disinfectants listed on page 40.
•
Some disinfectants can cause discolouration of the
material, which does not affect the functionality of the
device though.
•
Make sure that the device has first been disconnected
from the mains power supply!
•
The device must never be autoclaved, rinsed under
running water or immersed in liquids!
•
Ensure that no liquid enters the ventilation slits and
reaches the device switch.
•
If liquid has penetrated into the device, it may only
be started up again after it has been checked by the
manufacturer.
