4.0 GENERAL OPERATION

Please read the preceding section before going on to
read these instructions for use!

IMPORTANT SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS!

CAUTION: Do not perform inhalation in the airways
until you have been briefed by specialist staff.
Use water-soluble inhalants only.
Only use the device and accessories if they are clean and
disinfected.
Unless otherwise prescribed by the physician, inhalation
should be performed 2 – 3 times daily for approx.
10 minutes.
Once phlegm has loosened, it should be coughed up, or
in the case of tracheostomy patients, suctioned using a
suctioning device and a sterile suction catheter.
Draughts and cold temperatures should be avoided
immediately after inhalation.

Place the device on a flat and stable surface (Fig. 6).
When inhaling through your mouth and nose, choose
a face mask of a suitable size. If you are a throat
breather, please use the tracheostoma mask for
inhalation. The breathing mask / inhalation mask now
faces in the direction of your seating position (Figure
6). Check that the ON / OFF rotary switch is set to „0".

Gently pull straight up on the cover of the inhaler to
remove lid.

Open the safety lock of the steam tank (Fig. 8) and
turn it counterclockwise to position 1 (Fig. 8a).

Using the included measuring cup, fill the water
heater tank with approximately 25 ml of tap water,
(Figure 9). Do not fill water above the five square-
shaped vents on the wall of the tank.

Close the steam tank with the safety lock and turn it
counterclockwise to position 2 (Fig. 8b) so that the
safety lock is completely closed.

If you wish to add an inhalation solution, take the
inhalants- / condensate tank out of the device (Figure
10a). Fill the inhalation solution into the right side of
the inhalants- / condensate tank (inhalants tank) which
displays a scale (max. 80 ml) (Figure 10b). If you do
not wish to add an inhalation solution, the inhalants
tank stays empty.
