4.0 GENERAL OPERATION
CAUTION!
If the NEBUSTEAM INHALER overheats, it switches
®
off automatically and the green lamp goes out. The
device cannot be put into operation again immediately.
Proceed as follows:

1. Set the rotary ON/OFF switch to position "0".

2. Disconnect the mains connection cable from the
socket.
3. Allow the device to cool off for approx. 30 minutes
Make sure that the air vents at the mask
connection are not obstructed before the next
application.
After Every Use
1. Turn the POWER switch ON / OFF to the
position "0". (Figure 5 /
2. Unplug the unit from the power source.
3. Allow the unit to completely cool (approximately
10 minutes).
4. Carefully remove the inhalants- / condensate
tank and pour out any remaining water.
5. Follow the cleaning procedures provided in this
instructions for use (chapter 5.0).
NOTE:
Occasionally the nozzle that directs the steam into
extension tube may become obstructed. If the Steam
Inhaler begins to produce a significantly smaller
amount of steam or no steam at all, the nozzle needs
to be cleaned (see Chapter 5.3).
Careful handling of the inhalation device has a decisive
impact on the reliability and safety of the device. A regular
visual inspection of the device for external damage and
contamination is indispensable.
The cleaning measures described in the following must also
be carried out even when the device is not used
regularly.
These hygiene measures are necessary measures to
protect patients and users and to maintain the functional
reliability of the inhalation device.
