Configuration

Caution
The CPASC−DN contains electrostatically sensitive com
ponents. The CPASC−DN may be damaged if the contact
surfaces of the plug connectors are touched and if the
regulations for handling electrostatically sensitive el
ements are not observed.
Proceed as follows:
1. Switch off the power supply.
2. Set the following with the rotary switches: the station
number, the baud rate.
3. Set the following with the DIL switch: Extension to the
CP system.
4. If the CPASC−DN is the first or last slave in a field bus
segment, a terminating resistor must be fitted (120 ,
0.25 W).
Warning
S Make sure that switch−on test pulses are suppressed
if you are operating the CPASC−DN via a Fail safe I/O
module".
S Check the measures for putting the system into a
safe state in the event of an EMERGENCY STOP.
