Warning!
Diminished fire protection function may result in life-threatening danger, risk
of injury and property damage: Fire doors (and smoke protection doors) prevent
fire (smoke) from spreading and are tested as a complete unit with accessories:
· regulations established by inspection authorities must be complied with,
· the certification of the door must match the lock,
· the door manufacturer must be consulted if the lock is to be replaced and a dif-
ferent model used or a lock is to be retrofit,
· the door manufacturer's specifications must be observed,
· the installed lock must be the appropriate size.
Life-threatening danger and risk of injury due to damage: A damaged lock is a
safety risk and may not be installed and used. The lock and package may not be
damaged.

Attention!
Property damage caused by work on the door leaf: The lock must be removed
for all work on the door leaf, such as drilling or cutting.
Impaired function due to incorrect rebate gap: The rebate gap must be appro-
priately adjusted ("Technical data", page 24).
Property damage due to unsuitable striking plate: The striking plate must be
selected and mounted in a manner such that it always acts as the stop face and
sliding surface for the latch.
Property damage due to improper handling during transport: The door leaf
may not be lifted or carried by the door handles.
Property damage from opening the lock: Open the lock will damage it and void
the warranty ("Warranty", page 25).
Property damage from painting. Do not paint the lock or striking plate, or coat
with other substances.
Protect against water and moisture: The OneSystem Security Lock 509N / 519N
must be protected against penetrating water. Water impairs the function of the
OneSystem Security Lock 509N / 519N.
