How to operate your RECARO seat
Note on cleaning
Clean your RECARO seat with a cleaning
agent for upholstery. Test the effect of the
cleaning agent on a hidden part of the seat
before cleaning it as a precaution.
Please open out the drawings on Pages
4 and 5 for reference when reading the
text.
Pages 29 and 30 describe how you can
make the optimum adjustment of your seat.
1 Headrest

The height and angle of the headrest can
be adjusted.
Carefully pull or push the headrest to the
desired height.
Removal of the headrest

Use both your thumbs to feel out the
release in the upholstery. Press both
releases simultaneously. The pressure
points are shown in the figure. Have
someone else then pull out the headrest
from above.
Fitting the headrest
Insert the headrest in the two recesses on
the backrest and press down until it is
heard to click into place.
Risk of injury
Approval of the seat relies on the
headrest being
protective function of the RECARO
seat is seriously impaired if the head-
rest is removed.
The headrest must always be in place
for this reason.

2 Tilting the backrest forward

The backrest can be released and tilted
forward. Pull the lever on the left or right of
the backrest in an upward direction.
The backrest will engage in its original
position when you tilt it back again. Please
check that the backrest has been engaged
correctly each time after it has been
released.
4 Adjusting the backrest angle –

Manual
You can move the backrest of your
RECARO seat to the desired position by
turning one of the two handwheels. The
backrest can be reclined to a lying position.
Electrical
You can move the backrest to the desired
position using the switch on the switch
panel.
For a more reclined position of the back-
rest: Press the switch backward. The back-
rest can be reclined to a lying position.
For a more upright position of the backrest:
Press the switch forward.
5 Adjusting the side bolsters on the
backrest (ES model only)

You adjust the side bolsters of the backrest
with the rocker switch on the operating
panel.
To set the side bolsters closer, press the
rocker switch forward. To set the side
bolsters further apart, press the rocker
switch backward.
