DISMANTLING THE PUMP

NOTE: Special tools are required to dismantle the
pump. Using incorrect procedures can damage internal
components.
1. Remove the 4 bolts and washers behind the pump body.
2. Position the side of the motor on the ground to take the
body out of the pump and pull upwards in a straight direction
until completely released.
3. To remove the fan, use a strap wrench around it, keep the
outside of the axle firm with the wrench and rotate the fan
counter-clockwise.
4. Make sure any damage or burrs on the axle and flat parts
for the wrench are repaired before re-assembly.

STORING THE MOTOR PUMP

1. Empty the tank or disconnect the fuel line.
2. Start the motor and let it run until it stops to use up all the
fuel in the carburetor and prevent the formation of deposits
due to fuel evaporation.
*STORAGE IN WINTER
1. Check that all components through which water passes
such as hoses, the pump and the nozzle are completely
drained.
2. Dismantle the motor pump and rotate in all directions to
remove all the water possible.
5. Remove the bolts and washers and separate the pump
body from the motor.
6. Remove the clutch drum using a 2-socket bolt extractor,
securing the axle with the wrench.
7. Remove the retention clip, then push the axle from the
propeller side to remove the bearing and axle.
8. If the fan is still over the axle, press the axle from the motor
side through the bearing.
NOTE: When requesting spare parts, please indicate the
model and serial number.
3. Remove the spark plug and pour approximately 1/4 cup (60
ml) of motor oil into the cylinder. Replace the spark plug.
4. Pull the motor starter rope a couple of times to distribute
the oil throughout the cylinder. This will cover the entire
cylinder wall with oil and won't allow oxide formation during
the storage period.
3. Add a cup (1/4 liter) of anti-freeze / glycol through the
pump discharge outlet.
4. Disconnect the fuel line (if applicable) or empty the fuel
tank. Run the motor until there is no fuel in the carburetor.
NOTE: The pump must be protected from freezing (see
warranty).
