use the device again when it is completely dry.

and nearby sources of heat (ovens, heaters).

10. Frequently asked questions

Who can be affected by head lice?
Anyone can be affected by head lice, not only children. Having a case of lice is also not caused
by a lack of hygiene.
How do you get head lice?
Lice cannot fly or jump; they scuttle and crawl. Lice are transferred by direct contact with a per-
son that already has lice (for example when two heads come into contact).
Where do head lice come from?
School is usually not the source of transfer. Lice are found much more often in communities out-
side of school.
Who should be checked and how?
If you have been informed of lice in your community, check all members of your family at least
once a week and inform your friends.
Why is it important to ascertain whether lice are present immediately?
If you find out promptly that lice are present, it is easier to remove them as their numbers will be
lower. There is also a lower probability that the lice will be transferred to other family members or
acquaintances.
