Operation

The battery tester is supplied with power
from the battery to be tested and is protected
against reversed polarity, overvoltage and
overheating.

When testing a battery the battery tester must
be connected to the battery terminals. The
battery does not need to be disconnected
from the vehicle electrical system during the
battery test. The Battery-Test analyses the
battery on the basis of impedance measure-
ments made between the battery terminals
(Kelvin terminals). Each additional ohmic
resistance would otherwise be attributed to
the battery and would evaluate the battery as
being poorer than is actually the case.
The following is displayed on the tester dis-
play as soon as the plus terminal (red) and
the minus terminal (black) are connected to
the battery:

4.1 Battery-Test
When conducting the battery test the
