HANDLING THE NAILS

NOTE
● Handle the nails carefully.
If nails are dropped, the connection may break. Using
nails in this condition may cause mis-feeding and
jamming.
● Do not expose the nails to the outside air or to direct
sunlight for long periods as this may lead to rusting or
faulty connection of the nails. When not in use, keep
the nails in the box.
NOTE
The information contained in this Manual is designed to assist you in the safe maintenance of the Nailer.
Some illustrations in this Manual may show details or attachments that diff er from those on your own Nailer.

MAINTENANCE AND INSPECTION

Read section titled "SAFETY" (pages 5 – 12).
● Remove battery and all remaining fasteners
from Nailer when:
1) doing maintenance and inspection; and
2) clearing a jam.
1. Inspecting the Driver Blade
The driver blade of this power tool is a consumable part.
After nailing, if several nails stick up as shown in
fi gure (two or three nails per 100), it is time to change
the driver blade.

As continued use may result in damage to other
components such as the push lever or nose, replace
the driver blade early on.
Request the dealer from whom you purchased the
pin nailer or your nearest Hitachi Authorized Service
Center to change the driver blade for you.

STORING THE HEXAGONAL BAR

The hexagonal bar wrench can be stored in the magazine.
Store according to the image shown below.

2. Inspecting the magazine
1 Remove battery.
2 The inside of the magazine needs to be cleaned from
time to time.
Pull out the magazine cover and remove any nail
adhesive, dirt, splinters or other foreign objects that
have collected.

NOTE
Dirt in the guide groove may result in sluggish
operation of the nail feeder, causing blank fi ring.
If blank fi ring occurs, remove any nail adhesive or
splinters that have collected in the guide groove.
3. Storing
○ Do not store the Nailer, and battery in a cold weather
environment.
Keep them in a warm area.
○ When not in use, the Nailer, and battery should be
stored in a warm and dry place.
Keep it out of reach of children.
