The device automatically recognizes the chip, the display shows information about the model and lot
of the sensor and the date of the last calibration (if the electrode had already been calibrated).
As soon as the DHS electrode is recognized the active calibration on the instrument becomes the one
of the sensor (visible with the becker at the bottom left of the display or in P1.3 menu).
If calibration is good (see the data report view and graphic representation -P1.3-) the electrode is ready
to begin the measurements. Otherwise calibrate the electrode, the data will be automatically updated.
A DHS electrode calibrated with an 8+DHS or 80+DHS device is ready to be used on any other pHmeter
enabled DHS recognition and vice versa.
When the electrode is disconnected, a message on the display informs the user of the deactivation of
the sensor, the instrument retrieves its previous calibration, no data is lost!
The DHS electrode does not require batteries and if used on a pH meter that is not enabled for chip
recognition, it works like a normal analogue electrode.

• Errors during calibration

Error 1: Not stable measure during calibration, before pressing
Error 2: The device does not recognize the buffers used for calibration.
Error 3: The calibration has exceeded the limit time, only the points calibrated up to that time will be
maintained.

ORP Parameter (Redox Potential)

pH8+DHS, pH80+DHS, PC8+DHS, PC80+DHS
In measurement mode press
MEAS mV.
Connect the appropriate Redox to BNC for pH/mV/ORP (Yellow /Blue) measuring electrode and insert
the sensor into the sample to be analyzed.
Take the measure only when the stability icon
ORP measurement is in mV and does not require a sensor calibration.
In order to verify the accuracy of the measurement, it is advisable to perform a quality control using a
certified standard (200 / 475 or 650 mV).
ATTENTION: Before proceeding with the sensor calibration carefully consult the safety data sheets of
the substances involved:
Redox standard solutions.
Storage solution for ORP electrodes.
Filling solution for redox electrodes.
The careful reading of the safety data sheets of the solutions used, favors the elimination of residual risks
related to skin contact, ingestion, inhalation or eye contact with the same which can generate, possible but
not probable minor damage. Contact your local distributor for more information.

Measurement with Ion-Selective Electrodes (ISE/ION)

pH80+DHS, PC80+DHS
This series of devices can measure the concentration of ions as ammonium, florures, chlorides, nitrates etc.
using a specific ion selective electrode for the ion of interest. Connect the electrode to the BNC pH / mV
connector (yellow / light blue color).
