Sizes WH50, WH80, WH120 and Z-axis
In order to achieve the theoretical service life of the guide system, the idlers should be
permanently wetted with a thin film free from resin and acid. There are two grease nipples
located on either side of the sliding carriage (2). Additional lubricating felts (3) should be fitted
for applications with loads reaching the maximum values.

Oil lubrication for WH 50, WH 80, WH 120 and Z-axis
Mixtures of different types of oil can have a negative effect on the idlers and should be
avoided. The guides should be cleaned and lubricted at regular intervals. At the latest, it is
absolutely essential that they should be cleaned and relubricated when a reddish-brown
deposit begins to appear.
Depending on the ambient conditions, it is recommended that the guides should be checked,
cleaned and relubricated every month or after a running distance of approx. 1000 km. The
lubricating felts (3) should be replaced every six months or after a running distance of 5000
km. Relubrication via the fitted lubricating felts is not possible.

Preloading

Preloading the toothed belt (all sizes)
The preloading of the toothed belt may be adjusted at the therefore designated clamping
screws located on the deflector housing of the linear drive unit. In order to ensure the
reliability, the linear drive units are being delivered with best possible preloading of the
toothed belt. Alterations to the adjustment may only be carried out by after-sales service and
qualified employees

The linear drive units are being delivered with best possible preloading values. This
guarantees not only an unobjectionable running performance but also ensures the necessary
transmission of moments and forces. Modifications to the preload of the guide rollers should
only be carried out after having consulted the Tollo service staff.
