Check the Water Temperature
The entering water must be at least 120°F and
not more than 150°F for effective cleaning and to
prevent dish damage. Check the water temperature
with a candy or meat thermometer. Turn on the
hot water faucet nearest the dishwasher, place
the thermometer in a glass and let the water run
continuously into the glass until the temperature
stops rising.
Use Jet-Dry
Jet-Dry
rinse agent removes spots and prevents new film buildup on your dishes,
®
glasses, flatware, cookware and plastic.
Filling the Dispenser
Make sure the dishwaher door is fully open.
Fill the rinse agent dispenser until it reaches the bottom of lip
inside the opening. The dispenser should not contain more
than 120ml or 4,23oz at a time. This quantity should be
good for 50 cycles. Replace cap. See figures. In case to
much rinse agent (120ml plus) could have went in the
dispenser, close the door without the cap for a few
seconds. Open the door and wipe up the spill
inside the door with a damp cloth. On certain
models, to check if rinse agent is needed, press the
clear center of the fill cap 2 or 3 times. If rinse agent fills
the center of the cap, you have enough.
Do not use liquid rinse agent when a tab containing
the equivalent is being used at the same time.
If rinse agent spills, wipe up the excess, or this might decrease detergent
efficiency and cause oversudsing and leaks.
In homes with softened water (see page 2), there is no need for a rinse agent
in most cases. Rinse agent use in softened water might cause foam and leaks.

USING THE DISHWASHER

Rinse Agent
®
MAXIMUM
If your water heater is far from the
dishwasher, the water going to the dishwasher
might be cold if the line was not drained
recently. To allow the dishwasher to get hot
water, drain the line at the nearest hot water
faucet until the water gets hot, then start the
dishwasher. This will allow the best
performance for your dishwasher.
To prevent leaks and oversudsing,
the rinse agent must not go higher
than the ring indicated by the arrow.
