8.3 Built-in Reservoir (optional, only for side panel cooling unit)

8.4 Power connection

1) Place the drilling template supplied onto the outer fastening surface of the switch cabi-
net.
2) Drill the holes, and cut out the opening.
3) Place the mounting frame in the cutout and fasten it using the washers and nuts supp-
lied.
4) Fasten the cooling unit in the built-in reservoir, see installation instructions on side
panel cooling unit (see section 8.2).
CAUTION:
• The cooling unit must be connected to the mains by means of a disconnecting device
with a contact gap of at least 3 mm when switched off.
• No temperature control must be series-connected to the cooling unit feed.
• The fuse as indicated on the ID plate must be series-connected as line protection.
• Power connection and repairs, if applicable, may only be carried out by authorized
trained electricians.
• Both mains voltage and frequency must correspond to the nominal values indicated on
the ID plate of the cooling unit.
Connect the power cables in the switch cabinet.
CAUTION: Excessive voltage will destroy the cooling unit.
This warning refers to cooling units for a nominal voltage of 400 V/440 V
When connecting to a 440 V power supply, the cable for the primary circuit of the control
transformer (T1) must be reconnected from 400 V to 440 V.
Signal cables and switching cables:
• Two-core cable
Every cooling unit is provided with a fault signal line (except DTS 7041 and 7061) which
is used for wiring a floating contact that opens whenever certain faults occur (e.g. ex-
cessive pressure in the cooling system, power failure, cable breakage in the fault signal
line). Contact rating = max. 5 A.
• Four-core cable with door contact switch (option)
In case of units provided with a door contact switch the fault signal line is additionally
provided.
