PROCEDURE 4
This Procedure Includes the Following:

Adjusting/Using Armrest

Removing/Installing Flip Back Armrest -
Patriot ONLY
After ANY adjustments, repair or service and BE-
FORE use, make sure all attaching hardware is

tightened securely - otherwise injury or damage

ADJUSTING/USING ARMREST
Make sure the height adjustment lever is in the
locked position before using the wheelchair.
Adjusting Armrest Height (FIGURE 1)
1. Unlock the armrest assembly by flipping the armrest
release lever on the top front of the arm to the UP
(HORIZONTAL) position as shown in DETAIL "A".
2. Adjust armrest assembly to desired height.
3. Lock the armrest assembly by pressing the release
lever into the DOWN (VERTICAL) position as shown
in DETAIL "A".
4. Pull up on the armrest assembly to ensure the arm-
rest is locked in place.
5. Repeat STEPS 1-4 for opposite side of wheelchair, if
necessary.

Using (FIGURE 2)
Make sure the armrest release lever is in the
locked position before using the wheelchair.
1. Unlock the flip back arms by rotating the armrest re-
lease lever towards the outside of the wheelchair as
shown in DETAIL "B".
2. Pull the front of the flip back arm straight up/out of the
arm socket and towards the rear of the wheelchair.
3. To use the flip back arm, push the swing-back arm
towards the front of the wheelchair and then down-
ward into the arm socket.
NOTE: Armrest release lever MUST be in the unlocked
position when placing armrest into the arm sockets.
4. Lock the flip back arms by rotating the armrest re-
lease lever towards the inside of the wheelchair.
