Installation

Clean the threads on the crank ready to accept your new Ergon PC2 pedals
using a cloth. Add a small amount of grease to the threads, and then mount
your Ergon PC2 pedals using an 8mm Allen key. Please ensure that the pedal
is correctly aligned and that it can be smoothly tightened. To begin with do this
by hand. If you are having difficulties, please check alignment again. It is easy
to cross thread pedals, so if in doubt, seek professional help.
Tip: It can help to turn the pedal axle in the opposite way to that which you
need to turn it to tighten it, in order to avoid cross threading them.
Tighten the left pedal by turning it anti-clockwise (counter clockwise), and the
right hand pedal by turning it clockwise. Finally tighten the pedals using an
8mm Allen key.
Use a torque wrench to ensure that the pedals are sufficiently tightened (20
Nm) or in accordance with the torque allowed by your crank manufacturer. If
you do not have a torque wrench, please consult a professional.
