Intuitively correct: Power initiation
When positioning your foot correctly on the pedal it is the ball of the foot which
should sit centrally on the platform. This places the optimal part of the foot to
transfer the power to the bike over the pedal axle. This position allows for a
biomechanically optimal path of motion.
In order to find this position intuitively, the Ergon PC2 pedal has three features.
Your foot intuitively finds its correct position.
The shape of the platform is designed to resemble the ball of the foot
encouraging the correct position. The platform is formed to follow the natural
shape of the foot. The inner-stop allows the user to orientate their foot
intuitively into the correct position.
