The unit may be damaged by grinding dust, corrosive gas, solvents and aggressive
cleaning agents.
If aggressive chemicals are used, the Drehantrieb may be damaged or its life may be
shortened.
Never use solvents or strong detergents.
Keep away from grinding dust and corrosive gas.
Water must not be allowed to enter the Drehantrieb!
If water gets in it will damage the Drehantrieb by destroying the lubricant and the seals.
If there is a risk of flushing water it is recommended to fit the shaft end with so called V-
ring seals.
Always keep the Drehantrieb pressurised if water or water mist are present.
Make sure that water and water mist cannot enter via the compressed air connections.

Service and maintenance

The rotary actuator, series RAK, is maintenance-free, if used
within its technical specifications, and does not normally require
any particular service or maintenance.

Cleaning and care

NOTICE
Clean the unit with a slightly moistened cloth when necessary.
Use only a little water or mild detergent.
9.2

Maintenance

The rotary actuator, series RAK, is normally maintenance-free.
However, observe the maintenance intervals that apply to the
system in which the Drehantrieb is installed, and see the points
below.
9.2.1 Check the compressed air connection
Regularly check the compressed air connections and
compressed air lines for leaks. Replace damaged or crushed
lines.
