precisely the possible hazard.
Electric shock
Warns of an electric shock hazard which can cause serious
injury or even death.
Risk of fire
Warns of a fire risk with highly flammable materials and
products.
Hot surface
Warns of burns if heating elements are touched.
Environmentally-friendly disposal
Warns of environmental damage as a result of the improper
disposal of the appliance.

2.5 Important safety information

When using electrical appliances, particularly in the presence
of children, basic safety precautions should always be taken.
• This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years
and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if
they have been given supervision or instruction con-
cerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand
the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and
user maintenance (see chapter "Maintenance by the User")
shall not be made by children without supervision.
• The following applies in addition:
