2 Your safety is important to us
KEEP APPLIANCE AWAY FROM WATER
Electric shock hazard
Even when the appliance is switched off at the ON/
OFF switch 8, the electrical parts, as in most
electrical appliances, are still live. As water is a very
good conductor of electricity, it is especially
important to comply with the following safety
instructions!
• Do not use the appliance in the bathroom.
• If the appliance falls into water, do not reach into
the water.
• Remove the plug b immediately.
• Do not immerse or drop the appliance in water or
other liquids.
• Do not put the appliance down or store it in a place
where it can fall or be pulled into a washbasin or
bathtub.
• After using the appliance remove the plug b
immediately.
Risk of fire
• Risk of ignition – Flammable mousses, sprays,
gases or highly flammable materials – e.g. syn-
thetic tulle – must not come into contact with the
heating elements 1 or be used near the
appliance.
• Observe the product information supplied by the
manufacturer.
• Do not use benzine, paint thinners or other highly
flammable substances for cleaning.
• The appliance must not be covered by towels or
similar items.
• Under no circumstances should the ventilation
openings 2 of the appliance be covered or the
appliance put down on a soft surface such as a bed
or sofa, as this may block off the ventilation open-
ings 2. Make sure that the ventilation openings
2 are not blokked by foreign bodies such as hair,
etc.
• Do not use the appliance outdoors or in places
where aerosols (sprays) are used.
