"EXT. "

It is possible to switch the camera via a switching contact exter-
nally from colour operation to B/W operation. For this purpose
connect the terminals "D/N IN" and "G" (18) with a closing
contact. With open contact (internal pull-up resistor of "D/N IN"
with 0.2 mA at 5 V) the camera operates in colour, with closed
contact in B/W. If the option "EXT. " has been selected, it is
possible to change for another adjustment to the following sub-
menu by pressing the key "SET" (12):
BURST
Press SET to Return
Here it is possible to select by means of the keys
(10) if the colour synchronization signal (burst) is to be con-
tained also in B/W operation ("ON") or not ("OFF"). A B/W video
signal without burst prevents interfering coloured noise in the
B/W picture. However, some (LCD) monitors generally require
the colour synchronization signal for picture synchronization.
Press the key "SET" (12) to return to the main menu.

8.10 Menu item 9: "Sync."

(Adjustments for the picture synchronization)

Via this menu item, adjustments for the synchronization of the pic-
ture signal can be made. With the menu item selected it is possi-
ble to select between the following options:
"INT"
The camera is internally synchronized.
"L /L "
The camera operates with mains synchronization (line lock).
26
OFF
This is only possible if the supply is made via an AC voltage with
mains frequency (50 Hz). Thus, the picture signals of several
cameras can be synchronized so that an interfering picture roll-
ing is prevented when switching between different camera sig-
nals. If this option has been selected, it is possible to change for
phase correction to the following submenu by pressing the key
"SET" (12):
Phase
45
–I––––––-
Press SET to Return
Here the phase of the picture can be corrected by means of the
keys
(9) and
(9) and
another camera which is not supplied by the same phase of the
mains. A value from "0" to "270" can be adjusted. The higher the
value, the further to the right the "I" will be placed in the bar
graph below.
Press the key "SET" (12) to return to the main menu.
8.11 Menu item 10: "Reset"
(Reset of the adjustments of the unit)
Via this menu item the adjustments made by the user can be reset.
For this purpose press the key "SET" (12) with the menu item se-
lected. Then the following safety request appears:
Are you sure
Here it is possible to confirm ("YES") the intention of reset by
means of the keys
(10) for synchronizing the camera e. g. with
YES
(9) and
(10) or in case of accidental trig-
