International Date Line
The International Date Line largely coincides with the
180th degree of longitude on the surface of the earth.
Yesterday's date applies if this line is crossed in an
easterly direction, and you move into the next day if it is
crossed in a westerly direction. The same date applies
only once a day throughout the entire world, namely at
midnight on the International Date Line.
Changing time zones
When crossing into another time zone, you can set the
time display to the appropriate local time. The date in-
dicator is automatically readjusted by adjusting the hour
hand to the actual time zone. The 24-hour display is
unaffected by this operation.
