Functions of the crown
Normal position
This watch has a screw-in crown. The screw-in connection
(normal position, position X) prevents unintentional ad-
justment of the time, the 24-hour display or the date. The
watch case has double protection against penetrating
water. The crown is released by unscrewing it to the left,
where it automatically assumes position 0, the winding
position. By depressing the crown in position X and rotat-
ing it to the right at the same time, it is screwed down
firmly again.
Winding position
In the winding position (position 0), you can also wind
the automatic movement by hand. A few rotations of the
crown are sufficient to start the movement. It is preferable,
however, to fully wind the movement with ca. 30 rotations
of the crown to ensure maximum accuracy and a power
reserve of ca. 42 hours, even if the watch is taken off.
