SWITCH DEGREES (DEG) / PERCENT (%)
Press the button M to switch from degress (DEG) to percent (%).
FREEZE THE MEASURED VALUE
Press the button H to freeze the measured value. „H" is blinking; when it
stops blinking the measured value is frozen. Press the button H again to
cancel the frozen value.
SETTING A RELATIVE 0-POSITION
With the instrument you can set a defined 0-position (= relative 0-position).
Set the instrument in the position desired and press the calibration button
C. The symbol in the display disappears. Now the display shows the
measured value with relation to the new 0-position set. Press the button C
to cancel the defined 0-position. The symbol is displayed again. If the
symbol is displayed the instrument is in the absolute 0-position.
MEASUREMENT OF INCLINATION
The 2 arrows in the display indicate in which direction
EL 821 has to be moved in order to reach the 0°-position.
The exact „0"-position is shown with „0,0" in the display
and a beep sounds.
LASER
The EL 821 is equipped with a laser dot to prolong the working range of
the digital level.
