with their use, to protect your own safety and
to avoid damage to the device.

User group
This product was developed and produced for trained specialist
personnel, such as automotive mechanics, electricians, techni-
cians and engineers in the motor vehicle branch.
1.2
User information
The operator is responsible for maintaining the required outline
conditions at the test stand (e.g. for compliance with Accident
Prevention Regulations, annual instruction of the users of laser
devices regarding the dangers of laser radiation, etc.).
The Accident Prevention Regulation currently in force for laser
radiation is the BGV B2 (formerly the VBG 93).
The users are trained personnel in the automotive branch. They
must have received instruction in the use of the setting device.
Proper use
The laser diode modules incorporated in the wheel laser and
coarse setting device may be used solely for the purpose of
checking and setting ACC sensors.
Avoid improper use!

Safety information
Laser products are devices, systems or test assemblies with
which laser radiation is generated, transmitted or utilized.
The class of a laser product signifies the level of potential danger
from accessible laser radiation.
In Class II laser products, the accessible laser radiation lies
inside the visible spectral range (400 nm to 700 nm).In the event
of a brief, inadvertent glance at the laser beam, the eye is
protected by the automatic reflex of the eyelid. Class II laser
devices may therefore be used without need for further protec-
tive measures, provided that users are not required to look at the
laser beam or a directly reflected laser beam repeatedly or for
periods exceeding 0.25 s.
The eyelid reflex may be delayed, for example, by certain
medicines or alcohol, leading to a particular risk. In this
case, use of R1 protective glasses is recommended.
Any persons not instructed in the operation of laser products and
the dangers of laser radiation must not approach workstations in
which laser beams are in use and must in no case be permitted
to operate a laser-emitting device.
Safety measures:
- The operator must affix a clearly visible warning sign,
"Danger - Laser Beam", at the test stand at eye level.
- Never look at the laser beam or source of laser radiation.
- The user must comply with the above-mentioned conditions of
proper use.
Wear protective boots
Personnel must be informed of the need to wear protective boots
when performing work entailing a risk of injury to the feet. Foot
injuries may occur, for example, as a result of falling tools or
workpieces, the foot being clamped, stepping on nails or metal
chips, etc.
Safety measures:
- The operator must affix a clearly visible sign, "Wear Protective
boots", at the test stand at eye level.
- The user must wear suitable protective boots.
