Dräger X-plore 7500
The power-assisted filtering system Dräger X-plore 7500 may only be used with Dräger particle and
combination filters. When using combination filters, three Dräger filters must be simultaneously used.
They must be of the same type.
When using Dräger particle filters, two or three Dräger respiratory filters can be used. When using
two Dräger particle filters, the sealing plug R 53 344 must be screwed into the lowest filter connec-
tion on the device to close it.
Dräger respiratory filters are unscrewed individually before being removed.
Before securing new Dräger respiratory filters to the blower unit, the Dräger respiratory filter must
be checked for possible damage, leaks and with regard to the expiry date.
Check that the rubber sealing rings in the connections for Dräger respiratory filters are undam-
aged.
Fasten new Dräger respiratory filters one after the other to the blower unit.
Only original Dräger respiratory filters may be used. Always use a complete set of the same type.
Otherwise the health of the user could be damaged severely.
The type to be selected depends on ambient conditions at the place of use.
Dräger respiratory filters must be screwed tightly into the blower unit to prevent leaks.

Use

Check the following before starting:
— There must be no visible signs of damage on any part of the Dräger X-plore 7300/7500 system.
Check that the facepiece, breathing hose and seals are in perfect working condition.
— The connections between corrugated hose, facepiece and blower unit must be secure.
— The air stream must be sufficiently high. Check the air stream in accordance with "Verifying the Air
Stream".
— Check that the Dräger respiratory filter has been inserted in the blower unit.
If the alarm sounds during use of the filter, immediately leave the contaminated area and check the
function of the filter as described under "Handling".
If the Dräger X-plore 7300/7500 breaks down, a high concentration of carbon dioxide or an oxygen
deficiency can build in the headpiece. In this case, the health of the user could be damaged. Imme-
diately leave the danger zone and take-off the headpiece.
Verifying the Air Stream
The air stream may only be checked with fully charged NiMH battery.
Disconnect the corrugated hose from the facepiece.
Cover the free end of the corrugated hose with the palm of your hand.
— After about 20 seconds, the blower unit begins to run more strongly.
The alarm on the blower unit sounds and the LED on the control panel begins to flash. The blower
unit must be checked if the blower speed does not change.
