14. TROUBLESHOOTING

With this basis station, you purchased a product built to the state of the art and
operationally safe. Nevertheless, problems or errors may occur. The following
contains descriptions for the removal of possible interferences.
No reception of the signal of the outdoor sensor?
If the basis station does not receive any measured data from one or several enclosed
outdoor sensors, the measured values on the basis station's display will only be
indicated in dashes.
In this case, observe the following notes:

Start manual search for the signal of the three outdoor sensors (see chapter 11).

The batteries of the outdoor sensor are weak or empty. Try inserting new
batteries in the outdoor sensor.

The distance between basis station and outdoor sensor is too large. Change the
installation site of the basis station or outdoor sensor.

Very low outdoor temperatures (less than -20 °C) decrease battery performance
(this effect will be stronger for rechargeable batteries). This reduces the range
or the outdoor sensor will no longer work properly.

A different transmitter on the same or an adjacent frequency interferes with
the radio signal of the outdoor sensor. It may be helpful to reduce the distance
between the basis station and outdoor sensor or to choose another setup site.

Objects or shielding materials (metallised insulated glass windows, reinforced
concrete, etc.) interfere with radio reception. The basis station is too close to
other electronic devices (TV, computer). Change the site of setup of the outdoor
sensor or the basis station.
No DCF Reception

electronic devices (TV, computer), cables or mains sockets Change the site of
the basis station.

When setting up the basis station in the basement or similar, the DCF
signal is too weak and reception is therefore not possible. The same applies if
the basis station is too far away from the DCF transmitter.
Set the time and date manually; see chapter 12. a).
