After completion of the outdoor sensor search, the receiver display for the DCF
signal at the lower left of the display flashes. Depending on receiver strength of
the DCF signal, more circles will be visible.
Weak signal
Place the basis station, e.g., close to a window. Maintain a distance of at
least 1 m to other electronic devices (TV, computer, phone) and metal parts
(e.g. radiator).
A bad reception can also be caused by, e.g. metallised insulated glass,
reinforced concrete construction design, coated special wallpaper or an
installation in cellars.
If a good reception position was found, do not move the basis station during
that time. Do not push any buttons on the basis station.
Recognition of the DCF signal and its assessment may take a few minutes.

After proper recognition of the DCF signal and evaluation, the correct time is
displayed at the bottom of the display and the receiver display stops flashing.
If no current time is displayed, either remove the batteries from the basis station
briefly or start another search for the signal, see chapter 10. b).
Manual setting of the time/(date is possible as well; observe chapter 12. a).
