Congratulations on the purchase of your new DT Swiss hub! You have purchased a quality product
made by DT Swiss.

1. GENERAL INFORMATION

This user manual is intended for the user of the hub. It includes information on the assembly,
maintenance and care of the hub.
For further information and activities refer to www.dtswiss.com.
Users must read and understand this manual before using the component. Third-party users must
also be informed about the following provisions. Keep this user manual handy / for reference in case
you need to refer to it later.
2. SAFETY
DANGER
Incorrect handling, installation, maintenance or servicing can lead to accidents causing severe
injuries or death!
• Compliance with the following provisions is a prerequisite for accident-free use and faultless
performance.
• Assembly and maintenance of the hub requires a basic knowledge of handling bicycle
components. If in any doubt, consult your retailer.
• The hub should be used only in accordance with its intended use. Otherwise the user shall
assume responsibility.
• The hub must be compatible with all parts of the bicycle.
• Only use original DT Swiss spare parts.
• The hub must not be changed or modified.
• The hub must not be used if it is damaged or there are any signs of damage. If in any doubt,
consult your retailer.
3. WHEEL BUILDING
DANGER
Danger of injury from wheels with incorrectly built wheels!
Incorrectly built wheels can suddenly fail while being ridden. A crash with serious consequences is
usually unavoidable.
• The wheels must be build by a qualified specialist.
• Radial spoking is only permissible with hubs that have been designed especially for this.
• The maximum spoke tension is 1200 N for cross-spokes / 1000 N for radial spokes.
• We recommend only using DT Swiss spokes. The hub flange of DT Swiss hubs is optimised for
DT Swiss spokes. If spokes from other manufacturers are used, it is not possible to guarantee
optimised function.
