Technical refinements of the Portuguese Perpetual Calendar
Your IWC watch shows you the time in hours, minutes and seconds, the
moon phase, the day, the date, the month, the year in four digits as well as
the remaining power reserve. The case and the buckle of your watch are
made of 18 carat gold. Clearly visible through the case back with its sap-
phire glass, the mechanical movement with automatic winding has 64 jewel
bearings (synthetic rubies) and a power reserve of 7 days (168 hours)
when fully wound. The engraved rotor with its 18-carat gold medallion
winds the watch in both directions of rotation via the IWC Pellaton winding
mechanism. Your Portuguese Perpetual Calendar is shockproof, anti-
magnetic and water-resistant to a depth of 30 metres (3 bar). Alongside
the uniqueness of its functions, its simplicity of operation also makes this
watch stand out from all other complicated watches. To ensure that this
extraordinary watch is able to perform its tasks in future, it is essential to
observe a few important operating instructions.
