The camera has an automatic gain control (AGC),
an automatic electronic shutter (
backlight compensation, and an automatic white
balance (range 2400 K to 11 000 K).
4 Mounting
1) The camera module in the dome can only be
panned around a small angle within the visual pro-
tection window. To find the optimum mounting place
and alignment of the camera, a trial run must there-
fore be made. For this purpose set the camera into
operation for the time being according to chapter 5.
2) Remove the dome with the visual protection from
the base (2): Turn the dome a quarter of a round to
the left up to the stop so that it disengages and can
be removed.
3) Mark the four mounting holes and the hole for the
connection cable and drill.
4) Tighten the camera with screws.

5 Setting into Operation

1) Connect the BNC inline jack (3) of the camera to
the jack TO CAMERA (13) of the power supply unit.
For this purpose a 75 Ω coaxial cable for video sig-
nals is required. When using a high-quality cable,
the cable length may be up to 500 m:

RG-6U
Up to 350 m the following cables from MONACOR
are suitable:
VCC-59, VCC-59/SW, VCC-59/WS, VCC-259/SW
2) Connect the video output VIDEO OUT TO MONI-
TOR (12) of the power supply unit via a 75 Ω
coaxial cable to the video input jack of the monitor
or a camera switcher or video splitter. Observe the
correct 75 Ω termination.
3) Connect the plug of the mains cable (9) to a socket
(230 V~/50 Hz) and switch on the power supply unit
with the switch POWER (8). The power LED (7) will
light up.
4) Switch on the connected monitor as well and pre -
cisely align the camera module to the surveillance
zone:
– for tilting, release the two knurled screws (5) and
retighten them after the alignment.
– for panning, release the two screws (4) in the
base. For this purpose the camera module which is
held by the knurled screws (5) must be unscrewed.
The camera module can only be panned around a
small angle, otherwise the visual protection blocks
up the sight.
