7 Connecting the Camera

1) Connect the BNC output jack VIDEO (10)
via a 75 Ω cable (e. g. MONACOR VEC-
62/10) to a monitor. Pay attention to the
correct 75 Ω termination at the monitor or in
case of series connection at the last moni-
tor. With a cable length of more than 100 m
a video amplifier should be connected
between camera and cable to compensate
for cable losses.
2) For the power supply connect an elec-
tronically regulated 12 V power supply unit
(e. g. MONACOR PS-12CCD) to the two
terminals "+" and "-" (12). Observe the cor-
rect polarity.

8 Setting into Operation

1) After applying the 12 V supply voltage the
camera is ready for operation. The red
LED "ON" (11) lights up.
2) Adjust the distance at the lens. In case of
a lens with manually adjustable iris adjust
the iris for optimum image reproduction
(depth of focus and brightness).
3) If the picture is not clear with correctly adjust-
ed distance, correct the mechanical focus
setting for the lens. For this purpose, loosen
the two hexagon head screws (6) at the
thread ring (2) with the supplied hexagonal
key. Adjust a clear picture by turning the
thread ring. Then tighten the screws again.
4) When using a lens with automatic iris con-
trol, correct the video signal level for the
