3) Fasten the camera bracket (2) to the mounting frame by means of
the four hexagon socket screws. Guide the connection cable
through an opening in the wall/ceiling or through one of the two lat-
eral cable inlets in the base of the bracket (
outdoor installation on a wall, position the cable inlet used down-
wards and seal the other inlet to prevent precipitation from entering
the bracket.
Please note: The connections (10) – (12) and the cable distributor
are not weatherproof. For outdoor installation, protect them ac-
cordingly.

5 Operation

5.1 Connection

1) The jack for connecting the remote control (9) is situated below a
cover (6) on the rear side of the camera. With the remote control, the
zoom and focus settings and the settings in the OSD menu (
ter 6) will be made. Unscrew the cover by means of a coin or a
screwdriver and connect the remote control via its mini DIN plug (7).
2) Connect the BNC video output (10) via a 75 Ω coaxial cable to the
video input of the subsequent unit (e. g. monitor, camera switcher).
With a cable length exceeding 100 m, a video amplifier should be in-
serted between the camera and the cable to compensate for level
loss caused by the cable.
When the remote control is connected, the additional BNC video
output (8) on the remote control cable can be used (e. g. to connect
a small test monitor for the installation).
3) Instead of the remote control, it will also be possible to use the
RS-485 interface (e. g. from a computer or controller) for the zoom
and focus settings. The protocol PELCO-D will be used, the trans-
mission rate will be adjustable (

on the controller.
4) As a power supply, use a regulated 12 V power supply unit or a
24 V~ transformer. The power consumption will be 800 mA max. at
