Connecting the machine
16.5 Connecting the inlet hose
New hoses supplied with the appliance are to be used and old existing hoses may not be re-
used. The inlet hose must not be shortened or damaged.
Do not bend the inlet hose when laying it.
Caution
The inlet hose and water inlet filter are located in the machine.
INFO The water inlet filter prevents particles from the water supply from entering the machine, thus pre-
venting extraneous rust on the cutlery and in the machine.
Important for Australia and New Zealand:
This appliance must be installed according to AS/NZS 3500.1 and AS/NZS 3500.2. The appliance has been
supplied with a separate back flow prevention device.
This machine must be connected to potable water via the non-return valve (dual check valve) supplied
separately with the machine.
Before making plumbing connections, ensure the appliance is disconnected from the mains power supply
(switch off or unplug the power).

 Ensure that all connections are screwed into position correctly. The connection points are subject to
mains water pressure.
 Turn on the tap slowly and check for leaks.
 Correct the position of the seal and union if necessary.

 Turn off the mains water tap.
 Connect the female end of the water inlet filter
to the on-site water tap.
 Install the non-return valve between water inlet
filter and water inlet hose. The non-return
valve is located in a bag in the machine.
 Connect the inlet hose to the water inlet filter.
 Connect the inlet hose to the machine.
Australia and New Zealand
 Turn off the mains water tap.
 Place the seals on both sides of the non-return
valve.
 Connect the female end of the non -return
valve to the water tap.
 Connect the water inlet filter to the male end of
the non-return valve.
 Connect the inlet hose to the water inlet filter.
 Connect the inlet hose to the machine.
