11. MEASURING THE TEMPERATURE AND HUMIDITY

The measured temperatures and humidities must only be pending at the sensor. The operating
conditions of the meter must not be exceeded or undercut. They may cause measuring errors.
The temperature and humidity probe is integrated in one sensor. Temperature and relative humidity can be
measured in parallel to the other measuring functions at any time. Temperature and humidity are always displayed
alternatively in the small subdisplay (3a).
Proceed as follows for measuring temperature:
- Open the lateral cover and connect the plug of the thermo-hygro sen-
sor (21) to the rectangular measuring socket (14).
- Switch on the meter by pushing the operating button (8).
- The temperature display is always active in the subdisplay (3a). If no
sensor is connected, "- - - -" appears in the display.
- Put the thermo/hygro sensor into the environment to be measured.
Ensure that the ambient conditions of the meter are not exceeded.
- The display shows the measured temperature in "°C".
- To switch the measuring unit, push the button "°C/°F" (11). Each push
switches the unit.
- After completion of the measurement, switch the meter off again
by pushing the operating button. Remove the sensor and close the
lateral cover.
Proceed as follows for measuring humidity:
- Open the lateral cover and connect the plug of the thermo-hygro sen-
sor (21) to the rectangular measuring socket (14).
- Switch on the meter by pushing the operating button (8).
- The temperature display is always active in the subdisplay (3a). If no sensor is connected, "- - - -" appears in the
display.
- Use the button "TEMP/%RH" (4) to switch the measuring function. The displayed unit changes to "%RH" (% rela-
tive humidity).
- Put the thermo/hygro sensor into the environment to be measured. Ensure that the ambient conditions of the
meter are not exceeded.
- The display shows the measured relative humidity in "%".
- After completion of the measurement, switch the meter off again by pushing the operating button. Remove the
sensor and close the lateral cover.
