• You can now perform the test immediately, as outlined in 'Testing a coax cable' and 'Testing
a data cable'.
Displaying and deleting a dataset
You can view datasets in the database, modify and delete them.

12. Measuring and saving the speed factor

You require a cable with a known length of more than 10 metres, e.g. 20 m. You must know the
exact length. Measure it again, if necessary, to double check.
• Connect the test cable to the BNC coaxial cable connection (5) or plug the RJ45 connector
plug of a data cable into the network cable connection (6), depending on the cable type.

• Select the database ('Library') according to the type
of cable to be tested. Do this with the
button. You can select between the 'Coaxial Library'
and the 'Data Library'.
• Press the
continuously numbered datasets for a cable and
confirm with the TEST OK button (3).
• Press the SET button (7) to display the entire dataset.
• Press the EXIT

can delete the saved data or return to the database.
