Risk of Injury

Warning of suffocation! Keep children and animals away from the device and pack-
aging material.
Caution: Risk of scalding from heat, hot steam or condensation!
Avoid coming into contact with the rising steam. Do not open the lid during the
brewing process.
Never attempt to take out the permanent fi lter holder or the permanent fi lter
during the brewing process. Both will become hot during use. Be careful
when you remove the permanent fi lter holder as there may be some hot water
remaining in / on the permanent fi lter holder or permanent fi lter! Always allow the
permanent fi lter holder and the permanent fi lter to cool down fi rst before they are
removed / cleaned.
Never pour water into the water tank when the device is switched on or during the
brewing process. Allow the device to cool down before fi lling it again.
Never move the device during the brewing process.
The coffee which is prepared is hot! Be careful when handling hot liquids.
Caution: Risk of burns!
Keep clothing such as scarves, shawls, ties and long hair away from the device.
During operation, the temperature of the surfaces which can be touched may
be very high. The device is thermally insulated, but high temperatures are still
produced during use in the area of the toasting slots and they may cause burns.
Only ever touch the device on the thermally insulated operating elements.
Be careful when taking out the bread after toasting in order to prevent burns. If
necessary, use kitchen tongs made of plastic or wood to remove the bread.
Caution: Risk of falling! Make sure that the connected mains cable does not pres-
ent a trip hazard. The mains cable must not hang down from the surface on which the
device is placed in order to prevent the device from being pulled down.
Danger of Electric Shock from Water
Use the device only in closed rooms.
Do not use the device in rooms with high humidity.
Never immerse the device, mains cable or mains plug in water or other liquids and
ensure that they cannot fall into water or become wet.
Should the device fall into water, switch off the power supply immediately. Do not
attempt to pull it out of the water while it is still connected to the mains power!
Never touch the device, mains cable or mains plug with wet hands when these
components are connected to the mains power.
Warning of Electric Shock from Damage and Inappropriate Use
Only connect the device to a socket with safety contacts that is properly installed and
matches the technical data of the device. The socket must also be readily accessible
after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.
Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.
