THE PEAK
Reference images on page 77
The position of the peak of the AX9 helmet, designed for protection from sun glare
and debris, can be adjusted to suit the situation. Alternatively, the peak can also
be removed.
Please note! The use of the helmet with the peak is guaranteed up to 100 km/h maximum. Dur-
ing road use, the peak of the AX9 helmet must be kept in the fully up position.
We recommend that all adjustment, removal and refitting operations are completed with the helmet
on a flat support base.
ADJUSTMENT
Depending on personal use requirements, it is possible to reduce the inclination of the peak in
relation to the original position. This is possible by reducing the maximum opening of the visor,
replacing its adjustment mechanisms fitted as standard with the optional ones available in the
accessory pack (img.25).

Please note! The left and right mechanisms are not interchangeable and must be fitted
correctly. The Right mechanism is embossed with an "R", the left mechanism with an "L".
Start on the peak adjustment mechanism on one side of the helmet.
1. Remove the visor (see the section "The visor").
2. Remove the visor adjustment mechanism by pulling it out (img. 26), and then replace it with
the optional grey one (img. 27). Make sure that is solidly attached: the catching click can be
clearly felt and heard.
Now that the opening of the visor has been limited, it is possible to adjust the peak. Start on the peak
adjustment mechanism on one side of the helmet.
3. To remove the cover plate, hook a finger on the groove found on its top edge, pull the it out and
bend it slightly to release it from its housings (img. 28 and 29).
4. Loosen the aluminium screws using a screwdriver or a coin (img. 30).
5. Repeat 1 and 2 on the adjustment mechanism on the opposite side of the helmet.
6. Adjust the peak, lowering or lifting it to the desired position (img. 31).
7. Tighten the previously removed screws to a torque of 1,5 Nm on both sides.
8. Replace the mechanism covering plates on both sides.
