User instructions
These instructions are for Kongs-
kilde aspirators KIA 12, KIA 20 and
KIA 60.
Application
KIA 12, KIA 20 and KIA 60 aspira-
tors are designed to remove dust
and light impurities from, for ex-
ample, plastic granulate or ground
plastic that is to be re-used.
Installation
The aspirator must be installed
vertically. It can be mounted on a
frame (extra equipment) or be sus-
pended in side fittings.
The blower must be connected to
the aspirator using a clamping band
of the type shown, secured with a
bolt.

Safety
• Always stop the blower and
distributor impeller before carry-
ing out repairs or maintenance
and make sure they cannot be
started unintentionally.
• Never put your hand in the blo-
wer while the motor is running.
• Never put your hand in the
aspirator while the distributor
impeller is rotating.
• A bottom hopper must always
be mounted on the aspirator so
that it is not possible to touch
the rotating distributor impeller.
• Ensure that the aspirator is
installed so that it cannot tilt or
topple over.
• If abnormal vibration is ob-
served, the aspirator must be
stopped immediately and the
assistance of qualified person-
nel must be sought.
