• Do not hold this device by the tip, even when charging.
• Non-compliant, inappropriate or improper use can cause serious burns. (Temperature at the tip > 700 °C / 1292 °F).
• This device is designed to perform one cycle per minute.
• Non-compliance with the instructions annuls the guarantee.
• Do not discard this device in a rubbish bin. It contains components that must be disposed of in accordance with applicable
regulations. Regarding the battery-version of the COSMOS device, the battery must be removed before the dehorner is
disposed of. In order to do this, open the device by removing the 7 screws, cut the wires connected to the battery and
then remove the battery. The battery must be disposed of in accordance with applicable standards in your country.
In order to ensure the safety of users, and the useful life and optimal operation of the equipment,
the following rules must be followed:
• Keep the device well away from all heat sources.
• The device must be protected from knocks.
• Do not melt anything on the heating tip. Before use, check that the tip is not obstructed by any objects.
• Never press the heating part against a metal or inflammable object.
• Following use, even when the power is off, the heating tip remains hot and can cause serious burns.
• Do not use the device if the heating wire has been damaged, in particular if it has been crushed or cut.
• Only replace spare parts using original spare parts.
• Never open or modify the device.
SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE BATTERY-VERSION COSMOS
• The device must be protected from humidity and any risk of being splashed by liquids.
• Before use, recharge the device by following instructions in the section «Use / Charging the battery».
• The battery must be stored and charged in an environment with a temperature of < 10 °C/ 50 °F and < 25 °C / 77 °F.
• The battery must be stored and charged in an environment that is dry and well away from any inflammable materials.
When connecting to the power supply, ensure that the device and socket outlet are dry.
• Never allow the battery to fully discharge. In the event of extended storage without use, recharge the battery at least once
every 6 months.
• Never use the device when it is connected to the power supply
SPECIFIC FEATURES OF THE MAINS-VERSION COSMOS
• We recommend protecting the device from rain and humidity. There is a risk of electric shock if water enters this electrical
device.
• Never use the mains power cable to carry or hang this device, or to unplug it from the socket outlet. Keep the mains power cable
away from heat, oil and cutting edges. Do not touch the mains power cable if it is damaged or severed during use.
Immediately unplug it. A damaged or twisted mains power cable can cause electric shocks and must be replaced by the manu-
facturer, the manufacturer' s afters-sales service, or a person with a similar qualification, in order to prevent any risk of danger.
• This device must only be used under shelter.
• In the event of a break lasting more than 30 minutes, unplug the device from the socket outlet.
• Allow the device to fully cool down before storing it.
• The mains power cable must always be kept to the rear of the device.
