12. Maintenance

Check the system joint for wear and functionality every 6 months. Check the system knee joint every
3 months when treating children and people with cognitive impairments. Also check the functionality after
every maintenance carried out.

Secure the screws for the cover plate with the torque corresponding to the system width and LOCTITE® 243
medium strength during every maintenance (see paragraph 8.6). Remove all adhesive residues first.
The step lock pawl and step lock stop disc are subject to faster wear. This may result in shorter mainte-
nance intervals.

12.1 Repairing the Bearing Nut Bore

Insert a repair bushing if the bore for the bearing nut in the joint's lower part or in the flexion stop disc/step
lock stop disc is worn out.
1 Clamp the joint's lower part or the stop disc firmly into a vice.
2 Bore and ream the hole until it has reached the desired dimen-
sion (fig. 34 and 35).
3 Insert the repair bushing made of a special plastic into the bore.
